About the Mandala Family
The Mandala Community Kitchen embodies the dedication of youth volunteer Raaga Mandala and her family. Raaga is a fierce advocate for individuals experiencing homelessness, a journey that began at 10 years old when she was elected Oregon’s Kid Governor in 2020 for her three-point plan to combat homelessness.
Since 2024, Raaga and her family have been a vital part of Boys & Girls Aid, regularly preparing traditional Indian meals for our Safe Place shelter in Hillsboro and raising more than $5,000 to support our work. The Mandala Community Kitchen encourages community members to join in the Mandala family’s tradition of service and generosity.
